									<h3>Aim</h3>
<p>The aim of this event is to present research to those it is ultimately meant to benefit: the general public.</p>
<p>Medical research will be shared with a broad audience — and across disciplines — in an informal setting, with the added bonus of being able to purchase cold draft beer. The underlying idea is simple: research is funded by the public, conducted on the public, and intended for the public. Opening the “engine room” offers insight into what is actually happening behind the scenes of modern medical research.</p>
<h3>Format</h3>
<p>At the same time, the format brings together exciting research from different medical specialties, offering an opportunity to learn from one another, find inspiration, and potentially initiate new collaborations. This edition will focus on research within cardiovascular disease.</p>
<p>Six researchers — primarily from cardiac surgery and cardiology — will each present their research in 10-20 minute talks, followed by time for questions and discussion.</p>
