A nationwide academy

Danish Cardiovascular Academy is a nationwide academy that will bring together Denmark's experts in cardiovascular disease research. The Academy is realized through a generous donation from the Novo Nordisk Foundation and The Danish Heart Foundation. The Academy will receive 180 mio. DKK over a 6 year period.

A growing number of people live with chronic cardiovascular disease, and each year more than 55,000 Danes are diagnosed with cardiovascular disease. Now, a new nationwide academy will bring together Denmark's experts in this field of research.

The aim of the academy is to improve the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease. With a grant of DKK 150 million from The Novo Nordisk Foundation and a contribution from the Danish Heart Association of DKK 30 million, DCAcademy is more than ready to begin their work.

Facts about the Danish Cardiovascular Academy

The Novo Nordisk Foundation and The Danish Heart Foundation has in total awarded DKK 180 million for establishing the Danish Cardiovascular Academy for a 6-year period. The Academy is based at Aarhus University, and the other cooperative partners are:
