Ambassador Dinner 2023

On the 22 of October 2023, DCAcademy held the first Ambassador Dinner in the academy's history on the 15th floor of Mærsk Tårnet, Copenhagen. 

The purpose of the dinner was to celebrate our grant recipients and their contributions to the cardiovascular field. 50 guests came, and among these were representatives from our calls, colleagues from KU, SDU, AU, and AAU, The Danish Heart Foundation and The Novo Nordisk Foundation.

A festive evening with lots of entertainment


The evening contained a festive lecture given by Martin Guldberg, an opera performance by Anne-Mari MacFarlane, and speeches from Christian Hassager (Chairman of the board, The Danish Heart Foundation), Rasmus Borgquist (Senior Medical Lead, Novo Nordisk Foundation), and Rasmus Reeh (PhD).

In relation to the Ambassador Dinner, DCAcademy has instituted two awards, and the winners were:

DCAcademy Contributor of the Year 2023 – Professor Lars Køber from University of Copenhagen. For his remarkable contribution in organizing the International Summit on Clinical Research in Heart Failure, Glasgow, UK.

DCAcademy Grant Recipient of the Year 2023 – Andrietta Grentzmann, PhD scholar, from University of Southern Denmark. For her engagement in DCAcademy activities.
