Aim of the symposium

Cardiac MRI has become an invaluable tool for diagnosing heart disease and, through rapid technological advances, has enabled detailed investigations into myocardial metabolism and tissue characteristics. With this symposium, we aim to unite national and international experts and researchers in both clinical and metabolic research to discuss current challenges, share recent findings, and explore future directions in this field. Our goal is to motivate fellow researchers and physicians about the vast potential that cardiac MRI holds.

Please note that it is possible to either register for the morning session, myocardial metabolism, or afternoon session, tissue characterization, or both.

Recommended participants

The symposium is aimed for researchers and professionals interested in cardiac metabolism and tissue characterization with a specific interested in cardiovascular imaging.

Learning outcome

Participants will learn about:

  • Different MRI approaches for studying myocardial metabolism and tissue properties
  • The uses om MRI in different diseases
  • Cardiac metabolism in heart failure and investigations of potential treatments
  • How Type 2 Diabetes can affect cardiac function

Our speakers will share their specialized knowledge and latest research findings, with opportunities for participants to engage in discussions and include specific cases related to the topic.
