Aim of the event:
To bring together researchers & clinicians from neuroscience and the cardiovascular field to teach each other and enhance understanding of neurovascular coupling and its potential clinical consequences.

Topics:

  • Methods in neurovascular coupling research
  • Sex differences in metabolic syndrome-driven inflammation
  • Neurovascular inflammation in atherosclerosis
  • Modulating cerebral blood flow and neurovascular coupling in humans
  • Industrial session
  • Poster sessions including poster pitches

Target group:
Early career and established researchers & clinicians working in the field of neurovascular coupling, neurodegenerative, neurovascular, and metabolic diseases.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe various methods used in neurovascular coupling research, including their applications and limitations, e.g. imaging, omics, gene manipulation.
  • Identify the differences in inflammatory responses between sexes and their implications for neurovascular health.
  • Evaluate the role of neurovascular inflammation in the development and progression of atherosclerosis.
  • Discuss clinical findings and case studies to enhance understanding of neurovascular coupling in metabolic brain diseases.
  • Discuss the latest industrial advancements and their potential impact on research and treatment of neurovascular dysfunction.
