Content:
This course will introduce you to ECG and clinical applications. Furthermore, you will gain insight into state of the art ECG research. Electrophysiology and ECG in basic and translational research are also among the subjects.
Learning goals:
- Obtain ECG recordings and perform basic ECG interpretation including ability to identify most relevant findings in human medicine (atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, atrio-ventricular block, congenital arrhythmic disorders)
- Understand diagnostic and treatment of arrhythmia in the clinics - both in humans and animals - including risk factor management, antiarrhythmic drugs, and catheter ablation
- Understand cellular electrophysiology and application in basic and translational research
- Gain insight into new technologies beyond standard ECG interpretation using new algorithms and machine learning
Who can attend:
PhD students in health and medical sciences, veterinary sciences, and engineers
Place: University of Copenhagen (Panum) Blegdamsvej 3B, 2200 Copenhagen
