The SSAR Young Investigator Meeting 2025 will take place 1-2 of April, directly preceding the annual SSAR meeting, at Borupgaard, Snekkersten, Denmark. The meeting is for young researchers who will attend the SSAR Annual Meeting 2025. In addition to networking activities, the meeting will focus on 1) inflammation in atherosclerosis in cardiovascular disease and 2) various methodologies in atherosclerosis research.
Aim
The aim of the meeting is:
- To provide a basic understanding of the current knowledge of the role of inflammation in atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease
- To enhance the understanding of various scientific methodologies and how they collectively contribute to providing more comprehensive evidence on the role of inflammation in atherosclerosis
- To facilitate networking between fellow peers and international speakers with both basal and clinical backgrounds
Content
The meeting will cover basic knowledge of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease with special focus on the role of inflammation in atherosclerosis. The meeting will focus on the understanding of various research methodologies and include networking activities to prepare you as a participant for the SSAR annual meeting, with the goal of enhancing your learning experience and active participation during the event.
Format
A mix of lectures, group work, journal clubs, and presentations.
Who can attend?
PhD students and Postdoctoral Fellows participating in the SSAR Annual Meeting. It is a prerequisite that participants must submit an abstract and be accepted for participation in the SSAR Annual Meeting.
DCAcademy will provide accommodation for up to 40 participants.

No-show fee
Please note that the DCAcademy will charge a no-show fee of 2000 DKK if you do not show up and have not unregistered prior to start.
